New Year Celebrations









Sri Matha Samarpanam Trust will Welcome this New Year 2013 with the Divine Chants of Vishnu Sahasranamam and Adithya Hrudayam.
All children, parents and well wishers are requested to join us in this Divine Event.
Date: FIRST JANUARY 2013 ...TUESDAY
Time: 8.30 to 9.30 A.M.
Venue: New No 35, Subramaniam Street,Abhiramapuram, Chennai-18
PRASADAM will be given to all after the Chanting and Aarthi to the Lord.

April Sathsangh Report and Photos

This month, the Sathsangh started off with Smt. Valli Subramaniam,one of the trust members, giving out useful information to children and elders present, about the importance of "Waking up early in Brahma Muhurtham time and how it is scientifically proved to improve children's memory, and retension power," then the importance of Why we Hindus always have a "pottu" on our Forehead, etc. This was welcomed by one and all.
The programme started off with Young Venna Keertana of Std 1 reciting the "Shivopasana Vedam " chant. Later she also sang 'Raravenu Gopa baala, few bajans, and 'Vishama kaara kannan,' in her totally child like voice. This was really a treat to all.
Next  Miss. Swesha Venkateswaran of Std 7 recited the 'Nrusimha ashtakam' and ' Aditya hrudayam' with good clarity and diction, to the surprise of one and all. The whole place got a very nice and Divine Vibration with these chants.She later sang 'Bho Sambho' and a small bajan, which was pleasing to the ear, and well appreciated by all. After Aarthi to the Lord 'prasad' of Sundal, and Peda was distributed to all present.

We the Trustees welcome any child with such artistic talents in music, sloka, poetry, instrument playing etc., to contact us in advance, and make use of this oppurtunity to expose and highlight their children's talents to the public

April 2012 Sathsangh details.

Due to personal reasons,,this month our Sathsangh will be conducted on the 29th April 2012,(Sunday) instead of  28th Saturday.
Programme will be as follows.
1.Some useful information about our Traditions and Rituals, by our Trust members.
2. Slokas Recitation by Miss. Venna Keerthana and Miss. Swesha Venkateswaran., followed by some Songs and  Bhajans by the two young children.
Aarthi to the Lord and Prasadam distribution.
We request all of you to come in large numbers with your children and friends and encourage the young talents of our children.
All children, parents and well wishers can assemble at 5.15. p.m. and the whole programme will be over by 6.30.p.m.

March 2012 Sathsangh

This month our Sathsangh co insided with the Rama Navami Festival. The attendence was full, with lot of Children, Parents and Well wishers.
The Programme started off with Mrs. Ramprasad highlighting the Trust activities. Then there was Mass Chanting of  the sloka "Soorya praarthana " and "Rama Stothram". The whole place was vibrating with Lord Rama's names.
Next Mrs Vaidehi Ramadurai, one of the Trust member gave some interesting news about Rama's names and how powerful they are in our everyday life. The Children were happy to answer the questions put to them also.
This was followed by a Keyboard Programme by Miss. K Amrutha. She was given support on the Mridangam by Master Hariram. They both gave a very enjoyable and pleasing programme for half an hour, which was well appreciated by one and all present.
Finally The Aarthi for God was done and Prasadam of Panagam, Neer More , Lime rice and Rava laddu was distributed to all.
It was a very enjoyable evening and all members present appreciated the good efforts of Mr. and Mrs. Ramprasad, in promoting and encouraging the young children in the Traditional Values and Culture of our Country.

February Sathsangh 2012

Parents Children and SMS members gathered together for this happy occasion, and it started off with Mass Chanting of "Sri Subramanya Panchakam, " which was taught to all by Mrs. Nalini Ramprasad.
Children and all present were then told some stories about Lord Muruga's Valour and Victory of the demons Tharakasura and Soorapadman.Children enjoyed this session and were happy to answer questions regarding these stories.This served as an eye opener to elders also, as the children were all happy and energetic.
This was followed by Vocal music concert by Miss. Niveditha and Miss Aisvarya, (students of Mrs. Nalini Ramprasad). They sang some classical and semi classical songs for half an hour. They were well supported on the Table by Master Dinesh. The programme was well appreciated by all present.
The participants then received small gifts  as an encouragement from the Trust
This Sathsangh was held on the 25th February Saturday 2012 , between 6 and 7 p.m.
Talented children may contact us for participation in such Sathsangh programmes.

Sathsangh for February 2012.

The Sathsangh for this month will be held on the 25th (Saturday) between 5.30 and 6.30 p.m.
at New No. 35, Subramaniam St., Abhiramapuram, Chennai-18
As always there will be Mass Chanting of a New Sloka by all members, children and Parents.

This will be followed by Vocal Music Concert By Miss. M.Niveditha, G.Aisvarya and Miss. M.Madhuvanthi. They will be accompanied on the Tabla by Master Dinesh.
Finally, Prasad will be distributed to all. Please do attend with your family and friends and encourage the children.

New Year Celebrations Report and Photos.

Sri Matha Samarpanam Trust welcomed the New Year 2012 with the Chanting of Vishnu Sahasranam by Trust members, Children ,Parents and lot of Well wishers. The Hall was packed with people and children and the whole place was reverbarating with Lord Vishnu's 1000 names.
 Everyone present appreciated the efforts of Smt. and Sri Ramprasad, in organising such a nice and divine event on the start of the New Year.

At the end of the session, Aarthi was shown to the Gods, and Prasadm was distributed to all present. This was greatly welcomed by one and all.
