March 2015 Sathsangh

Hari Om to All,

SMS trust will resume the monthly Sathsangh programmes from this month.
PROGRAMME for this month will be held on the 21st of March(SAT).
ALL MEMBERS , PARENTS AND CHILDREN WILL ASSEMBLE AT OUR NEW PREMISES AT   Flat.1B,  Prime Chalet, No 17, V.G.Street,  Nungambakkam,AT 4 .00 P.M.
1. Mass chanting of Vishnu Sahasranamam/Adithya Hrudayam by All.



2. Small information about our Religion given to children for 10 minutes.
3.Keyboard Recital by Master A.Rohith, accompanied by Master V.Balaji on the Mridangam,
    from 5 to 5.45 P.M.
4. Aarthi to the Lord and distribution of Prasadam to all.
  
    The whole function will get over by 6 .30 P.M.
 
    We request you all to come and Bless the young Artistes, and encourage them.

New year celebrations 2015

Hari Om to all!
New year was celebrated with the chanting of Vishnu sahasranamam and Swami Sivananda Sloka by all gathered at the trust's new premises at Nungambakkam.
All children, parents and friends were happy to participate in the function and receive prasad after the aarti to the lord.

Programme at Giri Fine Arts.

Hari Om to All,
We are happy to inform you all that Our Children gave a programme of Slokas and Songs at Giri Fine Arts, Mylapore on the 29th of December 2013. It was well appreciated by all present.The children also sang with commitment and enjoyed the programme very much. Besides this the New Year 2014 was also welcomed by children and parents with great enthusiasm and cheer.May the Lord shower His Blessings on all of us in this New Year.
We also wish all our members, children and parents a Very Happy Pongal.

Programme at C.I.T. Park.






Hari Om to All,
This month the students of SMS Trust gave a programme of Slokas and Songs, at the C.I.T.Colony Park, Mylapore on the 24th of this month. The children sang well, and it was very well appreciated by all parents, walkers at the park, friends and well wishers.
These children were accompanied on the Keyboard by Master. A.Rohith, and on the Mridangam by Master Shivakumar Mahesh.
The Organisers appreciated Mrs. Nalini for the good training she has given to the children in the field of Slokas and Vocal Music.

This is just to thank you all for your presence at our 15th Annual day Celebrations at Pethachi Auditorium.on the 24th of this month.
It was really encouraging to see the hall overflowing with children parents and well wishers.
We take this oppurtunity to inform you all that the Sloka Cd is available with us for Sales. In case you need them you could contact us and we can send them to you by post.
The Cd cost is Rs.130.00p and postage Rs. 25/= You are also most welcome to come in person and collect same, after calling us by phone.
Our regular classes for children will resume from the 2nd of September(coming Monday)

SMS July Competitions

The Annual Competitions in Sloka, B.Gita,Vishnu Sahasranamam, Vocal and Instrumental music, were held on the 21st and 28th of July 2013, at the Madras Sanskrit College, Chennai-600 004.
The place was overflowing with children and parents eagerly waiting to see their children enter and win in these competitions. The Volunteers organised the whole event very well. Each Competition was held in a different room, and there were two well known and knowledgeable judges for each competition.
The children all came  in traditional dress, which was a real treat to the viewers and judges.
Mrs. Nalini Ramprasad was co ordinating with all the children, parents and the judges. The Competitions started at 10 a.m. and closed by 5 p.m.
